Nope, I wasn't a doll person when I was wee!! I loved dressing up....my Mum put together a dressing up box for me which was full of her old dresses, shoes and make-up and I would swan about the house thinking I looked beautiful!! (She's got some very funny photo's of me from that time....Oh the shame!!)

Dj-- My sister and I loved our barbies! She still has ours! My mom made underwear for our baby dolls from my old underwear! I still remember the fabric and wish i still had one of those dolls with the underwear. :o)

Carol-- I guess I should change the title to:: "What (my) Little Girls Wish For" I bet you were a cutie playing dress up! My kids don't seem to show much interest in playing dress-up, but they do wear their princess costumes from time to time.

Karen-- Thanks! :o)

I know a woman in her late 40's that collects Barbies. The entire second floor of her house is filled with shelves of Barbies perfectly preserved in their original boxes.

Whenever I see them, I want to play the worlds best game of 'dress up Barbie'

Barefoot-- I have a couple Barbies in their boxes that I won't let the girls play with. I made the mistake of leaving out one where they discovered it and tore into it and then the dog found it and the accessories got lost.... sob! It was the pregnant barbie they released back in 2002 or so.. I was going to save it for Oldest because she was born that year. Oh well.. they had fun playing with it.

I wouldn't go so far as to collect so many like your friend there. I only have 2 that were given to me.
