Labor Day Weekend

Taking a break for a few days to spend time with family and friends.

The husband's parents are coming to visit on Saturday!

And BBQ ribs are on the menu for Saturday night-- yum!

My Mom, Aunt and Uncle are coming on Monday!

And I'm baking a birthday cake for Auntie. Happy Birthday!

Whether you go far or stay home this weekend, I hope you enjoy your time with loved ones.

See you next week!

Hi
I've bottled the blackberry wine but I can't see throught he bottles, it is very active wine at the moment, is this normal? Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

The blackberries when crushed have lots of "sediment" so the wine will be cloudy. It will settle and then you can either leave it and let it ferment for the next 3 months then carefully pour it out without disturbing the sediment. OR you can wait a week and do it now then re-bottle it.

Hi Jenny
I think I will elave it, I can always do something different with it next year if I don't like all the sediment. Your recipie sure makes a good yield, thank you honey. xo

I hope you had a wonderful weekend, hon! Baking cakes is good therapy - maybe not as good as canning but good in its own way.

Hor-- I'm still sort of in a funk, but am coming out of it. I think by the next post, I'll be back to my cheery self again! xoxo

Dj-- You're welcome! I hope it comes out great for you. I just checked on my strawberry wines and they are smelling strong. I may try one around Christmas just to see, instead of waiting a year! :o)

Sparx-- It's always good therapy for me to be in the kitchen. Only trouble is- It isn't so good for my hips!! :o)
