The owner of the factory knows it's ours, but he isn't there all the time and can't watch out for strange trucks. That's the downside of me being deaf, I can't hear a chainsaw when Andrew is away at work. We'll try and get the rest of it soon. We'll definitely do better on the woodpile from now on!

Sugar-- Thanks! I'd like to write a book.. I just have to sit down and pound it out! :o)

Cheyenne-- I hope whoever took the wood really needed it and didn't turn around and sell it. I could never imagine going onto private property and taking something, whether it be wood or something else. I respect those 'No Trespassing' signs!

Johnna-- We bought a chain saw last year with our tax refund but Andrew's is a 16-inch saw and our friend had a 20-incher. His chain saw can go through the bigger logs easier than ours. They work well together as a team, and wish he could be here to help all the time! I'm thinking we'll need to fill up at least half of the pole barn to have enough wood for the winter. Andrew is off tomorrow, but they're calling for snow, so wait and see, hopefully we can work on cutting some more wood!jennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08772053505930801670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6471031006553442541.post-38230832770729845922011-02-20T16:56:18.457-05:002011-02-20T16:56:18.457-05:00I would be just as pissed as Andrew!!! Maybe more!...I would be just as pissed as Andrew!!! Maybe more!!! Bite the bullet and buy a chain saw, it will be the BEST 300 bucks you spend.I know thats a lot, save and plan to buy it for Andrew on fathers day;) The price of electricity is going up, up, up!Running space heaters is so expensive Jenny! Put your olders to work helping dad. I remember lots of "quality time" with my dad around the wood pile. I know you know this already :) Pull up those farm girl panties and kick some wood theiven ASS!Johnna Suttonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00915415400397412258noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6471031006553442541.post-57436186469372167562011-02-19T00:13:06.073-05:002011-02-19T00:13:06.073-05:00I think I would have spent a couple nights sitting...I think I would have spent a couple nights sitting and waiting with a pellet gun or something like that. UGH!

I can't believe that folks just came on your property and stole your wood! The way folks think they can just claim whatever doesn't have a guard dog standing over it is horrible!

Best of luck having a warmer winter next year...barefoot gardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18089017268890241495noreply@blogger.com
